The Need for Speed
Consumers are becoming more and more demanding. Maybe not quite like Veruca Salt in “Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory.” Smartphones have given us the ability to find almost anything we want, right away. Freddie Mercury and Queen knew this in the 80s.
Marketing has gone from features to benefits to moments. And it is the moments that matter. Slow and laggy websites create bad experiences and can turn off potential customers.
Google has been at the front of incorporating user experience into their search rankings for the last few years.
In June they are launching the page experience for mobile and yesterday they announced that the page experience ranking is coming to desktop devices too.
???????? Page experience is important on all types of surfaces. While we're starting with mobile in mid-June, page experience ranking is coming to desktop as well!https://t.co/lPCwzijAQ9 pic.twitter.com/AYsParLAp0

While the page experience ranking may not drastically impact rankings across the web, it will likely serve as a tie-breaker between sites. Here’s a short video from the Google Search team on what goes into page experience.
We have been busy preparing for this coming update. We are going to be releasing an update to all of our hosting packages to help improve the page experience for users.
We are also going to be able to offer custom websites that will hit 90+ scores on mobile page experience.
There will be more details to come as we go full throttle to improve page experience and help our clients separate themselves from the competition. Buckle up and stay tuned.
